SGNews.ca is published by Straight Goods News Inc. Straight Goods News was incorporated in Canada under the Business Corporations Act as a privately held company on 16 December 1999. It began publication on 25 January 2000, and currently has approximately 30 shareholders who shared the vision of progressive news reporting for Canadians.
Straight Goods is sponsoring a new web-site, with the support of the DCF, called LeftWords [www.leftwords.ca]. The site will provide background resources, analyses, educational material, and advice and assistance for anyone needing help to support and ‘frame’ an argument against the dominant conservative discourse in the public arena.
